The Dutchman’s Street

Located inside the beautiful Dutch Fort of Matara is a restaurant brimming with vintage charm: ‘The Dutchman’s Street’.

The Menu

This colonial-inspired dining hideout is powered by a western menu in which Italian and European classics are interspersed with tropical hits. An array of Nibbles includes Spicy Mutton Balls, Prawn Crackers and Cheesy Garlic Toasts while Snack selections highlight Tandoori Chicken Quesadillas and Grilled Seafood Panini. Green and Caesar Salads pick up your taste buds with crunch and colour.

From salad and chip flanked Chicken Shish Kebabs, pita bread paired Arabic Goat, Thai Rice, Singapore Styled Mince Mutton Noodles and Paneer Pulao - to Seafood Marinara, Spaghetti Ala Carbonara and Primavera - Asian and European flavours captivate your mind. Apple Crumbles and Chocolate Brownies rejoice in ice cream delight.

The Experience

In a celebration of colonial grandeur, ‘The Dutchman’s Street’ is rooted in Vintage-European inspired designs. The cosily-western dining experience is spiced up with good old Southern hospitality.
