The Menu

The Cuisine at ‘Nuga Gama’ appreciates immemorial flavours that are rooted in olden Ceylon. Sri Lankan dinner favourites such as String Hoppers, Hoppers and Pittu (steamed cylinders of ground rice layered with coconut) are served with spicy curries and Red Chili Sambal Paste. Tuck into a mishmash of seafood such as Isso Badum (Shrimp Stir-fry) and Tempered Fish presented in clay pots.

Diving into the Ceylonese desserting culture which is centred around sweet and sugary flavours, ‘Nuga Gama’ crafts an array of traditional sweetmeats. Delight in Kalu Dodol (a gooey dessert made of jaggery and flour), Rulang Aluwa (Coconut and Semolina Toffees) and the like. Bask in Plain Ginger Tea with Hakuru (Jaggery) or thrill in the local moonshine, Toddy.
