WNPS Wetland Walk

Trek through ‘Diyasaru Park’, discover the life that thrives within its wilderness and immerse in the beauty of its sweeping blankets of green with your little one. The ‘WNPS Wetland Walk’ is a guided nature walk, hosted by the ‘WNPS Wildlife and Nature Protection Society’ in a bid to encourage a parent-child learning experience, not only in the outdoors but even at home.

Step into the wetland park, roughly 60 acres of land that brims with natural splendour. Home to a number of varied species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds, the park serves as a brilliant means of introducing your child to an upfront look of nature in all its glory. A great educational experience particularly for those curious to learn all things new; parents and children will be guided along the trail by experts who will be speaking on the many attractions the park has to offer.

Participants should carry along water bottles, hats and binoculars. This event accommodates exclusively 100 children between the ages of 4 and 12 years therefore best pre-register to avoid disappointment. Entrance free for junior members of the ‘WNPS Wildlife and Nature Protection Society’ while junior non-members will have an entrance fee of LKR 1,250 which doubles as their 2019 membership fee. Entrance fee for parents will be LKR 200.
